My wife and I spent a night here in the cap of our truck in Sept. 2016 during "Peak Weekend" to get a good start in the A.M. to go explore the park. We called at 9:30 P.M. and Dan said "Come on over and call me when you get here, we're doing a big burn". We were really excited to see the lights and folks having fires and enjoying themselves. This is a thriving campground with a family oriented atmosphere. Dan met us at the Barn upon arrival and promptly had us follow him to a site rather deep into the property, passing a big pile of brush on fire. Explains the Big Burn mentioned earlier. Dan placed us in a private spot. He gave a good recommendation for dinner in town at the Boonville Hotel. Great food and atmosphere. We have plans to do it again this year. This place was fantastic and the rates are great. Bathrooms are available in a few places around the property. Hot water was available in the showers.
