Mount Kisco station is always well maintained during all four seasons. During the winter months crews come by before dawn to shovel snow and spread salt. During the warmer months the grounds crew power wash the platform and staircase every couple of weeks. There are no station attendants to purchase tickets but there are automated machines to buy them from at the top walkway platform. Parking is paid via ticket meters or a parking permit issued by the town hall. The two enclosed waiting areas, one atop the stairs and the other halfway down the train level platform, are both heated.
