Animal Dermatology & Allergy Specialists

I was referred here from a vet I was seeing in an attempt to get my dogs allergies under control. I have never explored this option, and wasn’t aware of the process or associated cost. I called this morning to gain some insight into how they can help the allergies my dog has had since he was a puppy, 8 years. I was told the consult fee was $245 and that was not including any additional tests or procedures. So $245 just to walk in the door. As I asked more questions, I was met with “Well, we can’t tell you anything specific without seeing your dog.” I get that, but before I spend $245, I need to know if the process is going to be effective for him. I was then told “well, we are the best in the business”. I was only looking for a ball park in terms of dollars, and the way in which they would go about treating allergies. I was told I can’t speak to the doctor because I’m not a patient. I call Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, got all of my questions answered, and from someone that didn’t need to tell me they were the best in the business. People that are the best, don’t go around bragging about it. I have had similar issues to Animal Soecialty Center in Yonkers, all they care about it making money, and not helping pets. No surprise that’s where one of the doctors came from. Drive a few extra miles into manhattan from truly top notch care. Their neurology department saved my dogs life!

We had a great experience with Animal Dermatology. The staff were very courteous and professional. Dr. Rosenberg diagnosed our dog’s problem quickly and she was on her way to recovery.
