Rogers Beach

Beautiful water, clean and a beautiful afternoon. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when we got here we parked on the street and walked over the bridge and were told that this beach is only for people who are staying in west Hampton beach town. They didn't want to make me walk down to the next public beach so it was ok to stay for $10 per person. I'm 8 months pregnant so I was grateful that they let us stay and not walk somewhere else but I was confused. Is this a public beach or isn't it? It's marked public, not private ...Public to me means that if you pay, you can come here, not "oh well you can't really be here but we will allow you just this once". I find that somewhat misleading.
