This organization is a joke. They don't care about you and will make sure you know it. Do not park here if you ever want to get anywhere on time.
Some of their garages do not allow motorcycles. There are no signs to indicate this, you'll just receive a note threatening to tow you if they see your bike again. They conveniently do not tell you motorcycles are not allowed when signing up for a parking contract.
They like to shut down the fire escapes for months at a time with no information as to why, until lawyers who also park in the garage start threatening them with notes taped to the exits.
Their new (and seemingly very expensive) license plate detection systems have proven to be terrible, making exiting the garage during times of congestion exceedingly frustrating. Two exits were eliminated in favor of one, so all it takes is one person whose plate doesn't read - and you aren't getting out any time soon. Real smart move guys.
I have also been locked out of this garage when it was below zero because their electronic entry systems were apparently down, and they didn't BOTHER to tell their customers. This was on a weekend and there was no staff in the garage. I had to go find a place to hang out and stay warm for nearly an hour until someone came to let me in.
This organization is the epitome of your cold, uncaring, and crass government run conglomerate. Nobody here cares about you, and if this place disappeared I don't think anyone in the city of Albany would shed a tear. I'm assuming it's just corrupt and run by someone's cousin at this point.
Unfortunately there are no covered parking alternatives in the city, except the ones run by this terrible organization. Amazon HQ2 might have been considered for Albany until they realized that the APA would probably ruin things.
