Brought my vehicle in for a re-inspection and it was failed for the license plate light inop. Both lights worked and as long as the plate is lit up from one or the other, the vehicle will still pass. I told them as an NYS inspector license holder, im very aware of the inspection. The old man behind the counter begin to yell at me and told me to go "inspect it myself then" i tried to explain that i was not trying to come off the wrong way and explain to them I know what the description in the lighting and reflector section describing what passes and fails and they could have cared less to talk to me. They wanted me to leave as soon as possible. Tried telling me if the vehicle was built with it on, then it needs to be on to pass. I would love to hear them tell me that if I brought the vehicle in with a missing mirror. I have never been treated like this and I will be turning this shop in with the DMV for refusing to inspect my vehicle.
