One of the busiest stations in queens, the J line customers transfer here to the E line down the queens corridor, the LIRR customers switch to the E line when the railway is delayed or there's no service to Penn station, the tourists from the Air train Jamaica station get the subway to Port Authority and Penn, all without the help of transit ambassadors, so crowded and signs that are no help. Platform level has signage from planet lost in space, NYCT needs to remove all dual Exit/connection signs and put up exit w/ arrows - connection with up/down arrows for J & LIRR/AIRTRAIN - destination only on each side of the platform to clear up the confusion of current signs. The only signs that help are the station name signs. A help desk for lost items left on trains by tourists and signs on the mezz explaining the fares on the 3 stations ($5 air train/$6.75 LIRR to Penn/$2.75 subway to everywhere else) is so missing!! ($40 on a Air train MetroCard can't be used to ride the subway- its only good for eight $5 air train rides!)
