Buy a GMC Canyon but not here. Go to another dealer. Love the new 2018 GMC Canyon purchased here but purchasing process a disaster. I tried to give these people grace. They were friendly but, IMO, three strikes you're out. Here are the 3: 1. Appointment made for 3 pm for signing papers, etc on day of purchase. My wife and I had to get time off from work to be there. When we arrived promptly at 3pm, the salesman was involved with another couple in process of going for a sale. My wife and I were asked if we could wait just a few minutes until he was done. Well, we didn't sit down to start the process until 4:15pm. We finally concluded the process a little after 6:30pm with the last 10 minutes being a demonstration of the "OnStar" that wasn't working when I left. I had enough at that point and said I was done & had to leave. 2. Had appointment in Service Dept. the following week to have undercoating done, have paint coating (or whatever) put on and get the "OnStar" working. Left vehicle and was offered a "loaner" for overnight. Was told by Service Manager that everything would be done if I arrived at least after 3pm the following day. The following day was a snowstorm making driving quite difficult for the 31 mile (taking an hour) trip back down to Ballston Spa. I thought it was worth it since I was so excited about getting back my new truck. Well, I arrived after 3pm and I was told it would take another day or so to get the tech people in to fix the "OnStar" problem and I could take the "loaner" car until then. No one ever contacted me regarding this during the day which would have saved me trip down. I was not a happy camper. So I got back in the "loaner" and headed home which was 40 minutes away (still snowing btw). 3. A month passed. Had no problems with the truck. However, I see the temporary registration is expired in ~10 days. I called Mangino and, from the conversation, it was evident someone dropped the ball. I was told they would look into it & work to get the registration as soon as possible. I ended up taking the time to make 3 more phone calls during my work time in following days, because communication (again) was so poor, to ensure that this problem was being dealt with. I did get the registration two days before the temporary one expired (thanks to me). I liked these people and tried to keep giving them chances but, overall service was "crappy". They had the best of intentions but they just couldn't carry through. Maybe my experience was an isolated case but I personally don't want the headaches and likely won't purchase another vehicle from them or recommend that anyone else does either.
Been here a few times to get my impala serviced, and the people back in the service department are all exemplary, and we couldn't be happier The gentleman took genuine care in helping us get our infotainment system fixed, and instead of going for the most expensive option like many places do, he went past that and found the best option for us Hands down the best dealership I've been to, wonderful staff both on the show floor, and in the service department Thank you
