Bagels N Cream

Have you ever had a bagel from upstate NY? Well if you have and it didn't come from Bagel's and Cream then you are going to have to find them. I mean, if you are ever in Delhi, NY just 1 hour East of Kingston, you would be in luck. This family run bagel nosh place is dead on delicious. Transplants from NYC who really know what a boiled bagel should taste like. There finishing of the bagel makes them crispy on the outside and luscious in the center. My favorite always is the everything bagel. Depending on the day I will just have it toasted with butter. On a day when I am missing being at home I will smear some of the best whitefish salad on and be on my way. Not a fan myself normally, but now and then I will have their scallion cream cheese spread which is just light, creamy and fluffy. All of the staff there are superb. If all of the shops in the Catskill region ran like this they would be open for many more months with full coffers as this place is. They have more than just bagels. They are a great all around sandwich shop. I often grab a number of assorted heroes for staff when we are working on big events. They are always pleasing. Word around the block is that James and his brother are now raising Berkshire pigs, an heirloom breed. Their ideas for them are sound! Next summer on my way in I will certainly be putting in my order.
