I can't praise my experience at Ala's Spa highly enough, and I've been to a number of the most prestigious spas on the North Shore of Long Island including Red Door and Blue Water Spa. I had my facial 6 days ago and i wanted to give it a few days to see and review results before I posted a review of my experience.
Ala gives you a truly customized and personalized experience from the start. I came in with dry skin that had lost it's glow after recently giving birth and my hormones dropping. My skin really needed a reboot. Ala created a customized treatment for me that included an exfoliation and deep cleansing mask, peptide treatment (which she added complimentary), microdermabrasion, and ended with an oxygen facial with light therapy. She was extremely clear and articulate about each step, giving a thorough explanation as to what she would be doing, how it would feel, and what benefit it gave to my skin. I found her very knowledgeable and trustworthy as a result. While I ended up not sleeping at all because we had connected and were having a nice conversation throughout my treatment, I did leave her spa very relaxed.
My face was slightly red at the (which she gave me a heads up about because of the type of treatments I had, but it was glowy and healthy looking and the redness went down within a few hours. I had a dinner with family that evening and was told my face looked really fresh as if I was sleeping full nights with the baby (which I'm not yet).
The exterior of the building is nothing to write home about, it's a small standalone building that looks a bit dated from the outside, but the inside is gorgeously decorated in a modern glam aesthetic.
The price points are extremely fair for what you're getting especially on the North Shore.
