Pete is a great guy. And and excellent guitar repairman, and builder. Especially when it comes to electronics. He only uses the finest components and materials. His solder joints look machine made. And all of this adds up to better tone. Like every other luthier in this area, he takes a long time. And it doesn't hut to call and check up on the progress. Busy professionals come to these guys all the time needing a guitar to be repaired in a hurry, and the more patient people get bumped. That's simply the way it goes.
