DICK'S Sporting Goods

My fiance ordered a 700 pound Field and Stream gun safe. He wanted to take advantage of the "ship to store" shipping for $399 instead of having it shipped to the house for $599. He originally wanted to have it delivered to the Latham store but because they are moving to a new location, we had to do the transaction at the Glens Falls store. There is a sign in the sporting good section promoting the $399 ship to store deal. It is also on line. DO NOT believe this!! It has been nothing but a hassle. The manager, "Ben", was disrespectful and "declined to do anything further with this transaction" when I tried to get the shipping charge adjusted. My fiance talked to another manager and was also given the run around. This is an almost $2000 safe and at this point my fiance wants to cancel the whole thing. He was told that they couldn't do that because they don't actually have the safe. Well, no kidding, it is at a shipping warehouse that Dick's contracts with to do these deliveries. Again, nothing but a run around, a hassle, and very poor customer support. Stay away from making any major purchases at this store and by all means do not fall for the $399 ship to store deal - it is false advertising!!
