I was born & raised on Long Island, so since moving upstate there's been a bagel shaped hole in my heart that Wegmans & Bruegger's just couldn't fill. Enter Cazenovia Bagel Co. It's a near perfect bagel place that whole-heatedly fulfills my downstate bagel needs. Lox & schmear on an everything, coffee black. Yes, please & thank you. You're not going to find a more authentic bagel in central New York. Although speaking of authenticism, the selection lacks both salt and egg bagels (easily forgiven, just get an Everything). Super helpful staff and friendly owners. Gluten-free and vegan options. Great coffee from Recess. High chairs are available. It can get quite busy, but more often than not you can get a table. Now, I only need someone to start 'importing' downstate kaisers, so I can get a decent BEC.
