I ordered the rear disc brake conversion for my Buick Grand National. The kit cost $738.66. It was a BIG mistake. The brakes were installed professionally and I was told by my mech there were missing parts and a lot of modifications required. After installation, the right rear caliper leaked and was found to be defective. I called SSBC and they were hell bent in saying the defect was caused by the installation and refused to take responsibility for the defective caliper. After replacing the caliper (at my expense) and bleeding the system it was noticed that the rear brakes barely worked and require a different proportioning valve. No valve was included in the kit. Brackets did not fit and one brake line was far too short. Overall this is a terrible kit with cheap parts. Customer support was terrible and they refuse to take responsibility for the poor quality within their product. To validate my claims on this poor product please feel free to contact Richard Clarks Garage in North Carolina who hold a stellar reputation in the country for their knowledge and experience within the Turbo Regals. I encourage others to go with an alternate brake system through a company that can at least stand behind their products. SSBC is NOT one of these companies.
