In an effort to support a local businessman, I brought my electric pool pump motor to this gentleman. I had used this motor for the last several years and it had started to get noisey. It worked fine.
At the end of the day (actually, it's been over 6 months since I left the motor) I picked up the motor from Rico in peices with him claiming the motor was junk.
Perhaps this man is a wiz with other types of motors and pumps but, in my opinion, find another shop to have your pool pump motor rebuilt.
