Hodder Farenga Funeral Home

From the first time my family visited the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home to plan for our Mother's funeral, we were impressed with the knowledge, concern and sensitivity which were shown to us as we made the arrangements. The fact that Hodders had taken care of my Father's funeral helped to make a difficult situation more bearable. Hodder Farenga had the needed cemetery information along with the information regarding my father's burial that was further able to help us with the decisions that had to be made. My Mother's death came shortly after our first meeting at The Hodder Farenga Funeral Home. When we returned to finalize the funeral plans, Nicholas was there to offer his condolences and to help us navigate all that needed to be done while we came to terms with our loss. Nicholas was so patient with me and my sisters and all our requests. Nicholas’s demeanor was always kind and accepting and non-judgmental. All the arrangements were truly "handled with dignity and respect" and they were "fulfilled to our satisfaction" and beyond. Not only was our family looked after during the viewing hours but those that came to pay their respects were given the same attention. One example that stands out in my mind came when the viewing hours were over. Someone came to see my Mother after we had left. Instead of telling them that the viewing hours were over and sending them away, Nicholas graciously opened the room and allowed them to pay their respects to my mother. Such a thoughtful thing to do. Thank you. Our Mother looked just as we knew her and arranging for a priest to be at the funeral home was very comforting. The transition from the funeral home, to the church, to the cemetery was seamless. It was with a great sense of peace that we left our Mother at her Eternal Resting Place as a result of the experience we had at The Hodder Farenga Funeral Home and the personal care and attention provided by Nicholas. In conclusion Nicholas, we thank you and the staff at Hodder Farenga for all you did to help us give our Mother a funeral that she deserved - one with love and dignity.
